Summer 2025 Minimum Eligibility Criteria

• U.S. citizenship
• High School senior about to enroll in college or current college student (any year)
• Home address in the DFW area

Qualification

The ideal candidate would:

• Preferably have a home address and/or voter registration in the official’s home district
• Have demonstrated interest in public policy and/or law such as:
  • Pre-law
  • Public policy-relevant majors such as Political Science, Public Policy, Public Affairs, etc.
  • Active involvement (e.g. via holding an office) in a political or politically-activist organization such as College Democrats, College Republicans, SJP, etc.
  • Prior history of volunteering in political campaigns or organizations at any level – federal, state, and/or local
  • <High School only> Participation in Model United Nations
  • Other political experiences such as the  history of advocacy in a public forum for any issue
